A Happy Heart

I have Halloween paper scraps everywhere today- and a lot of the purple patterned paper meant that I could play along with the Color Dare this week.

I put together some papers from retired paper packets using Eggplant and Thistle patterned paper, matted on Black cardstock. The White Daisy circle was stamped with the sentiment in Pansy ink and a black wreath. I also added a small strip of the Thistle Shimmer Trim.

I thought the pattern was a diamond print but on closer inspection it seems to be spiders! Oh well, I still think the finished card is cute and very purple.

More scrapbooking today for me as the weather is rather gloomy- school holidays start tomorrow so I will not have a lot of time in the next two weeks to play in my scrap area. That means that today is full of paper, Cricut cuts and lots of bling! I may even make a few more purple cards.

T is for This and That

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter T. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their T element will be featured in their post.

If you came from Catherine then you're on the right track!

For my T project, I decided to use the new This & That stamp set.

I used some of the titles and sentiments on this layout of my son with one of his good friends, as they are just so adorable together!

I used one of the 'this' stamps with the 'is so stinkin' cute' and stamped this paired title in White Daisy ink directly on to the black Jeepers Creepers paper.

I used the Jeepers Creepers paper packet for the main background paired with some leftover embellishments from the Florence Complements. I really liked the Peacock and Tangerine colours together, so I added some stamped hearts in Peacock ink using the Charming Cascades stamp set.

I decided to make a card featuring the Jeepers Creepers Paper Packet and the adorable matching Monstrous Halloween stamp set and thin cuts.

This card features the thin cut and stamped monsters stamped in Pansy, Lagoon and Willow. I added the Monster paper in the background and also added some circles cut from Willow cardstock to break up the pattern. The spiral border was a stamp from the Monstrous Halloween stamp set, and the sentiment is from the retired Lifting Spirits stamp set.

Thank you for checking out my card. If you would like to purchase our featured product of the week or any additional supplies you can buy them here.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #178

Another beautiful sketch this week over At Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

I was totally inspired to use a lack, white and grey colour scheme for a floral card after seeing a beautiful card on Instagram by Martha (stampartpapel).

A black and white sympathy or get well card is always an understated option, and I left the sentiment vague so that it could be used for either occasion.

I cut the flowers using the new Flower Market cartridge, and then layered them on top of the sentiment strip. The sentiment is from one of the Flower Market exclusive stamp sets and was stamped in Black ink. The finishing touch was some Grey Enamel Gems down the side of the Whisper background.

I hope this card has inspired you to create your own black and white card, and we would love to you have you join in the sketch this week!

3x3 Sea Glass Cards

Sea Glass is the colour of the year for Close To My Heart- a beautiful blue designed to go with all of the other CTMH cardstock and ink colours.

I wanted to show how this cardstock could pair with three other colours in our range; Slate, Saffron and Cranberry.

I created these 3x3 cards and added a border of Sea Glass cardstock. The flower was also cut from Sea Glass cardstock using the Flower Market Cricut Cartridge.

I stamped the three sentiments using the stamp sets available in the exclusive September Create Kindness Card Kit and then added a coordinating gem in the centre of each flower using the Grey Enamel Gems, Florence Sequins and Cranberry Fundamentals Assortment.

Now I have three cards ready to go for giving out as RAOK this month.

This month we have over 25 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's newly released products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I wanted to create a layout for a special family photo- and as soon as I saw the 'blessed' stickers in the Swan Lake Complements I knew that I wanted to use it as my title.

This layout uses the Complements as well as the new Swan Lake Paper Packet for all the patterned papers and the journal box.

The Swan Lake Complements have the most amazing gold foil detail! I also love the colour combination of Black, Poppy and Glacier.

I used the Flower Market Cartridge to cut some flowers, which were then stamped with the new coordinating With You stamp set. These particular flowers used a Honey Background and were then stamped with Sunset ink over top. The sentiment under Blessed is also from this stamp set, which I stamped in Peacock ink.

The banner was made using pieces of the paper packet. I cut more flowers from the cartridge to match the stamp set and used 1st and 2nd generation stamping in Poppy and Peacock to create the base and shade image. I strung the flowers together with White Twine and used Blue Glitter Dots in the centre of the blue flowers.

I can't wait to put the photo of my in laws surrounded by their grandchildren on here!

Now "Hop" on over to Michelle's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas!

Jeepers Creepers Australasian Blog Hop

Hello and welcome aboard our Jeepers Creepers Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Vandra's Virtual Classroom then you are in the right place.

If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s Featured Paper Packet, Jeepers Creepers.

To make this card, I cut a 4x4 square out of the monster paper and folded it in half both ways. I then folded the flaps out again to create the frame. I stamped the cute monster in Willow ink after I had cut the shape out using the thin cuts. The background is some Willow cardstock paired with a cut up PML card from the paper packet. I stamped the sentiment in Black ink using the Monstrous Halloween stamp set and replacing the word Halloween with the word Birthday from the Wise Guy Birthday stamp set. The finishing touch was some Green Glitter Triangles.

This exclusive Jeepers Creepers Paper Packet is only available until the 31st December.

I'd love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Georgia Creates.
